Originally constructed in 1914, the Sentinel Federal Savings Building is part of the East Ninth Street–Grand Boulevard Historic District and was designed by noted architect Frederick Gunn. Today, this distinguished structure is being thoughtfully restored into a boutique mixed-use community that honors its historic character while embracing modern living.

The upper floors feature spacious one- and two-bedroom loft apartments crafted with comfort and quality in mind. Residents are welcomed home through a beautifully restored lobby featuring original terrazzo flooring, rich wood paneling and mid-century modern lighting. On the first floor, a striking commercial suite showcases vaulted ceilings and original marble accents, paired with updated mechanical and electrical systems for modern efficiency.
Additional amenities include a fitness center, social lounge and private storage areas creatively located within the building’s original bank vault on the lower level. Convenient and secure resident parking is available adjacent to the property on the south side.

Are there any pet-friendly loft apartments in Kansas City?
Yes, Sentinel Lofts is a pet-friendly community. We welcome up to two pets (dogs and cats) per apartment at all KCLoftCentral loft properties. Some breed restrictions and additional fees may apply.
A $150 nonrefundable pet fee and a $200 refundable deposit are required per pet. Monthly pet rent is $25 per dog, with no additional monthly rent for cats.

To secure an apartment, applicants are required to pay a deposit along with administrative and application fees.
